I am proud to say that I could eat here every day and not feel like I am eating out, as the food is made by Portuguese mothers in the most home-made way possible. The classics here include: \u201cRoj\u00f5es\u201d, pork chunks with tripe and boiled blood; \u201cArroz de Pato\u201d, duck rice; \u201cTripas \u00e1 Moda do Porto\u201d bean stew with tripe; They also have many fresh fish options on the menu, my personal favourite being the \u201cPetinga\u201d fried baby sardines and \u201cDourada\u201d sea bream. In terms of home-made desserts take a look and pick your fancy, if there is \u201crabanada\u201d Portuguese French toast, that\u2019s what I go for.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t be afraid to order what you like, if you make any mistakes the waiter will let you know what you are doing wrong immediately and tell you what you should eat and drink. This is one of the things I love about this place, when I eat here I normally let the owner suggest what\u2019s good first and then make my decision, this also helps to get into his good graces.<\/p>\n
