Wine Making Experience

You will be staying in a countryside house surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. During your stay room & board, meals and transport are all included in the final price.

As you may already know wine making is dependent on the weather that particular year, since the sugars in the grapes need to be ripe for harvest. The white grapes are harvested before the red grapes, but in general the rule of thumb is that the harvest is done in September; Normally the white grapes being at the beginning and the Red Grapes towards the end of the month. After booking the Experience we will be able to warn you 30 days in advance when the experience is going to be held so that you may book your flights and schedule your time in Portugal.

For this all inclusive traditional family wine making experience, that is only available once a year and will be custom made according to your needs, we charge 1599 euros per person (not including VAT 23%). 50% should be paid by bank transfer in order to book your place and the other 50% is paid on arrival.

A six day experience that includes accommodation, transport, 15 traditional meals, the grape harvest, Stepping on the grapes, wine making workshops, 3 wine tastings, a visit to UNESCO Prehistoric Rock Art Sites, the Côa Museum, a Douro river boat journey as well as the shipment of 6 bottles of the wine you stepped on during the experience to your home address.
