“Lomo” as it is known by locals, opened in 2013 and is considered the lomography embassy of Porto. Before it used to be a bar/café it was a bridal shop and as strange as it may seem the strip pole that remains in “Lomo” is from that time. This place is an interesting addition to the centre of Porto and with its unique music and atmosphere has become a worthy place to hang out.
Being the lomography embassy of Porto it sells lomography cameras and film as well as vinyl on the ground floor. On the second floor you have a bar, dancefloor, foosball table as well as the strip pole I already mentioned. They organise different events during the week, Tuesdays are the Brazilian nights, Wednesdays are dedicated to lindy hop, Thursdays you can get cocktails for 3 euros, Fridays are freestyle music night, depending on the DJ and Saturdays are dedicated to American funk. It is also worthwhile noting that the sound system is not great but the atmosphere makes up for it, most of the time. Beer is €1.30 until 12:00 and €1.50 after 12:00, wine is 2 euros and cocktails are 5 euros.
This is a good Bar to go to after 12:00 on weekends until you feel like you want to move to a new place. You can occasionally play some foosball when the table is free, enjoy music from the 50’s-80’s drink for reasonable prices and appreciate the relaxed atmosphere.
